Questions about product manager pay in space

What do space companies pay product managers?

Postings that state a salary put the median at $178k a year and the middle half at $162k–$200k, across 57 postings from 18 employers (one employer's repeated posting counted once). Full time, the median is about $85.53/hr an hour.

Where do these figures come from?

From the salaries in space companies' own postings, read every night: 57 of 63 current product manager postings (90%) state one. Nothing is estimated for a posting without pay, "up to" ceilings are set aside, and an hourly rate counts as 2,080 hours.

Sources and method

Only pay a job states is used: a plain hourly or yearly figure or range in US dollars, read from the job's own posting. A range counts at its midpoint. In the median and the middle half each employer's advertised range counts once, so an employer posting one range in many towns does not set the figure; an employer's own figures count its jobs one by one. "Up to" ceilings, weekly travel rates and rates under a third or over three times the occupation's median are left out. The yearly estimate is the pay times 2,080 hours (40 a week). A job counts under its occupation and every occupation above it, and under every state it is open in. A page exists while at least 8 jobs from 3 employers state a rate. BLS figures are as published.
