About German Aerospace Center (DLR)
DLR, the German Aerospace Center, is Germany's national research centre for aeronautics and space and, through the German Space Agency at DLR in Bonn, runs the country's space programme. Its space work spans the German Space Operations Center at Oberpfaffenhofen, which flies satellites and Europe's Columbus laboratory on the International Space Station, rocket engine testing at Lampoldshausen, space systems in Bremen and planetary research in Berlin. DLR also researches aviation, energy and transport, so each posting is judged before it is listed and only the space roles are kept.
