Sample. 8,150 roles open on 29 Oct 2026 at the 47 space employers this site reads.

Posted is the date the employer's own board gives the role; a board that gives none counts in the open roles but not in the posted columns.

Sample. Shares of the 8,150 roles open on 29 Oct 2026 at 47 employers.

The Herfindahl-Hirschman index is the sum of each employer's squared share in percent: 10,000 is one employer with every role; US antitrust practice reads above 1,800 as highly concentrated.

Sample. 6,477 of the 8,150 roles open on 29 Oct 2026 carry a posting date from their employer's board.

An employer that reposts a role gives it a new date, so a role open for a long time can read as recent; the age is the board's, not this site's reading.

Buy the data behind this report

The figures above are a summary. Behind them are records we collect ourselves, every day:

  • roles tracked, each with its history

Every role on the job boards we read every hour: its pay and place, and the first and last day it was open.

  • apply clicks, counted

Which roles people actually apply to, by field, pay and kind of work. It happens on this site, so nobody else can count it.

What you can buy

  • The records

The rows behind any figure, with their history, not only the totals.

  • A regular feed

The same figures every week or month, as files.

  • A custom cut or benchmark

Your countries, languages or fields, or your own company against the market.

Hiring at a space company and need the people behind these roles? (you hire them yourself).

Investing in space companies? Hiring radar is these records role by role, every day, as files.

Method and definitions

Every open role on the space employers' public job boards this site reads, with the posting date each board gives. Every figure is computed by one database query over the window shown, the same query for the live report and for every edition. Each figure states its sample beneath it.

Open role
A role listed on its employer's public board on the day, read by this site; a role posted several times counts each time the board lists it.
Posted
The date the employer's board gives the role; a board that gives none leaves its roles out of the posted columns.
Herfindahl-Hirschman index
The sum of each employer's squared share of open roles, in percent: 10,000 is one employer with every role.

What this data cannot tell you

  • Coverage is the employers this site reads: a company whose board is not read is missing, and the shares are of the covered market.
  • Open roles count postings, not hires; an employer may post one role for several hires or several roles for one.
  • A reposted role gets a new date, so posting age can understate how long a role has been open.

How the job feeds are read and roles are classified: site methodology. How fresh, complete and consistent the data is, checked every day: data quality and coverage.

Editions

This report reads the live job boards every day. Each complete month is also published as an edition, frozen two days after the month ends, so a figure you cite from an edition never moves.

  • Live data (this page)Today's boards, read daily
