Manufacturing and Test Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

Golden, CO | 12-15 Weeks | Summer 2027 Today, everything we send to space is constrained by what fits inside a rocket fairing. That's a fundamental bottleneck to building more capable spacecraft.

Rendezvous Robotics is solving this problem with electromagnetic self-assembling tiles: modular spacecraft components that rendezvous, dock, and latch to assemble bigger and more powerful spacecraft than anything that can be folded to fit into a rocket. We're a small team based in Golden, Colorado, executing on a clear path from flight demonstration to our first operational systems.

We are looking for the best people in the world who want to build the next generation of advanced spacecraft. ## Responsibilities - Develop and own testbeds used to manufacture and test the different subsystems including power, docking, and communication interfaces - Support manufacturing of spacecraft tiles, creating work procedures and finding optimizations. - Build and refine fixtures and test jigs for repeatable hardware verification - Track and troubleshoot manufacturing defects, feeding findings back into design - Help build out test data pipelines so results are captured consistently across builds ## Basic Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field - Comfortable with hand tools, basic soldering, and hardware assembly - Attention to detail and comfort working from written test procedures ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with battery pack assembly or handling lithium-ion cells - Familiarity with environmental test equipment (thermal chambers, vibration tables) - Background in test automation or data logging (Python, LabVIEW, or similar) - Quality or manufacturing process experience, even outside aerospace ## ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S.
