Satellite Electronic System Engineer

At Redwire, you will work closely with customers from concept development through mission operations to ensure mission success. ## Job description As a Satellite Electronics Systems Engineer you will take the technical lead of the satellite electronic aspects for the entire lifecycle of a project.

It starts by understanding the customer electronic requirements, translating them into satellite equipment level requirements, and performing a conceptual satellite electronics design.

You will then have to evaluate supplier proposals/datasheets, participate in the selection of electronic equipment, and monitor the progress of (internal/external) suppliers/subcontractors by assessing the technical work (for example, through design reviews). Throughout the project lifecycle, you will establish and maintain the satellite electronic budgets focusing on data interfaces, power and communication budget.

Additionally, you will also be responsible for defining the specification for the complete satellite harness.

Finally, you will also be required to participate in the satellite level verification campaign, make sure the design and test results are properly documented, and, finally, assist in the launch campaign and in orbit verification. ## Desired skills/experience/knowledge - Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering. - +5 years relevant experience in a similar technical environment. - Strong technical knowledge on electronic equipment selection and design, integration, and verification of electronic systems is an asset. - Experience with defining an electronic satellite concept. - Fluency in English. - Proactive, creative, enthusiastic, and result-oriented team player with strong planning, organizational, and communication skills - Natural problem-solver who is not afraid of getting involved when needed. - Capacity to make clear and precise agreements with others and excel in fulfilling following up to these agreement ## Disclaimer Please bear in mind that our company is bound by ITAR regulations, restricting candidates from certain countries or holders of double nationalities. ## Offer - You’ll not only get to work in a well-known space company offering flexibility, work-life balance, and an open and friendly working environment, but you will also become one of the privileged engineers that can say some of the hardware they helped built is actually orbiting Earth! - Possibility of growth towards a senior/principal satellite electronic system engineer (Technical expertise) or Team Lead (Technical Management).
