Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Electromechanical System Engineer to join them.

You will report to the Engineering Director and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA. ## To be considered for Electromechanical System Engineer you will need - Bachelors in a mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering discipline - 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of precision electromechanical equipment is preferred. - Experience with mechanical design/packaging, along with excellent electrical and analytical skills. - Experience working in team environment - Experience using CAD/CAE (UG NX is desirable) - Experience performing motion simulations and knowledgeable of motion control techniques is preferred. ## As a Electromechanical System Engineer, you will - Be responsible for the system design of complex rotary servo motion assemblies for harsh environments and high reliability applications in military and aerospace markets. - Establish concepts and requirements using a variety of engineering disciplines to include mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal and rotary motion leading to development of integrated electromechanical systems and electromechanical motion systems. - Based on fundamental engineering principles, predict the system level performance of candidate approaches and select the optimum approach to specific applications. - Lead an integrated product development team to insure timely and successful project completion. - Track the project progress and report program status to senior level management. - Understand/interpret customer specifications and requirements. - Prepare statements of work and product specifications and be the primary interface with suppliers and customers for all technical aspects of a program. ## How We Care for You - Financial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities , matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts - Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance. - Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages. - Professional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs - Culture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
