We are seeking a proactive Documentation & Equipment Configuration Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee Equipment Configuration and SWS Documentation to comply with US/UK external mandates.

Reporting to the Engineering Compliance Manager (ECM) at RNAD Coulport, you will lead a small team and play a vital role in our operations. As an integral part of the Lockheed Martin UK Strategic Systems leadership team, you will take charge of all aspects of document control.

While receiving support from the ECM and wider LM leadership, you'll be expected to demonstrate a dynamic and assertive approach in managing priorities to uphold a robust document control function at RNAD(C) and the wider LMUK Strategic Systems Enterprise ## Duties / Responsibilities - Lead and manage the Coulport Documentation Control Group (DCG) setting clear performance targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Ensure adherence to the customer's equipment configuration requirements consistently. - Maintain US/UK SWS documentation requirements meticulously. - Ensure availability of Weapon/Waterfront documentation to facilitate depot processing and transfer operations. - Execute duties of Classified Books Officer and SWOP custodian in compliance with regulations. - Sustain and control local quality documentation, ensuring alignment with ISO/AS9100 best practices. - Ensure Coulport processes are sustainable, suitable, and aligned with program needs. - Champion the adoption of digital documentation tools (e.g., document management systems, electronic signatures) to reduce paper use and accelerate approvals. - Implement a continuous improvement framework (e.g., Plan Do Check Act, Kaizen) to identify and address bottlenecks in Coulport processes. - Serve as SME for key stakeholders, providing expert guidance on documentary impact, compliance, and risk mitigation. - Drive training and knowledge share initiatives so the team can quickly adapt to new tools, regulations, and tactics. - Establish a stakeholder centred communications plan that keeps customers and internal partners informed of major changes or updates.

Due to MoD requirements, you must be a UK sole national holding or capable of achieving the appropriate level (DV) of security clearance.

More details can be found here ## Required skills, qualifications and experience - Proven experience in Documentation Control / Documentation Management or a related role. - Leadership / Management experience. - Flexibility, adaptability, and adeptness in handling changing priorities and multiple tasks. - A strong team player fostering effective working relationships across all levels. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - High motivation and a strong work ethic. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. - The ability to travel throughout the UK and occasionally the US. ## Desired Skills - Experience in administration control (SWS documentation & configuration control systems). - Familiarity with records management best practices and protocols. - Understanding of data privacy and HM Government security regulations. - Knowledge of document lifecycle management principles.
