Contract & Legal Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

## Key Responsibilities - Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs and standard commercial agreements with customers, partners, and suppliers engaging with the NRW branch - Support export-control and launch-licensing processes in coordination with HyImpulse's licensing manager, ensuring timely and compliant submissions - Advise on intellectual-property questions arising from customer and partner engagements, flagging risk areas to leadership - Oversee contracts and compliance for external service providers - Support the Bid Manager and wider BD team on the legal and contractual aspects of proposals, including terms-and-conditions review and risk assessment - Maintain a tracker of active contracts, NDAs, and licensing submissions, ensuring nothing lapses or is missed - Site leadership duties, such as leading branch setup ## Basic Qualification - Law degree, paralegal training, or equivalent professional qualification, with manager-level experience - Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements - Fluent German and English, both suitable for legal drafting and negotiation - Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, with the judgment to know when to escalate versus resolve independently - Comfortable operating with a broad commercial/BD remit alongside core legal duties, rather than a narrow legal-only role - Ability to work independently in a branch-office setting with limited on-site legal support ## Desired Experience - Familiarity with export-control and launch-licensing regimes relevant to Germany, the UK, or the broader NewSpace regulatory environment - Prior experience supporting aerospace, defence, or other regulated/dual-use industries - Experience working alongside BD or sales teams on proposal and contract negotiation, not purely in a back-office legal function - Familiarity with intellectual-property considerations in technology or engineering-driven businesses - Existing relationships with German regulatory bodies or export-control authorities - Willingness to take on broader site-leadership responsibilities as the NRW branch grows ## Benefits - €50 monthly Spendit Card – because it’s the little extras that make a difference - Christmas bonus on top - Job bike leasing for a sporty and sustainable commute - €60 gift for special occasions (birthday, wedding, birth of a child) - Mobility allowance – because a good workday starts on the way there - Regular team events – from Christmas parties to adventure offsites - 30 days of vacation to fully recharge - Flexible working hours (flextime) to match your personal rhythm - 1 day of remote work per week - Free coffee, tea & water – fuel for big ideas - Open, respectful feedback culture at eye level - Personal development opportunities through trainings, coaching & language courses - Buddy program with structured onboarding, including a welcome package - A diverse and inspiring startup environment , where talented people from over 16 nations collaborate to build something extraordinary - Hands-on involvement across end-to-end development processes in a fast-growing New Space startup ## Equal Employment Opportunity HyImpulse is committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment.
