Au sein du service thermique du CNES, nous recherchons un(e) stagiaire en sciences des matériaux avec des compétences en thermique spatiale. Le CNES souhaite étudier la faisabilité de réaliser des matelas d’isolation thermique des satellites (MLI) avec des matériaux innovants nommés aérogels. Ce stage consistera dans un premier temps à réaliser une recherche bibliographique sur ce type de matériau.
Un certain nombre de ces aérogels a déjà été approvisionné.
Il s’agira ainsi de définir le plan d’essais, de réaliser les essais pour caractériser les aérogels (pesée, densité, conduction thermique, dégazage, contamination…) et de les soumettre à des environnements spécifiques (chaleur humide, vide, température…) A partir de ces résultats, l’étudiant pourra proposer une définition préliminaire de la composition d’un matelas avec aérogel et identifier les contraintes de mise en œuvre des matelas.
Un plan d’essais préliminaire de caractérisation du matelas pourra ainsi être établi. Le ou la stagiaire sera encadré(e) par un expert matériaux et un spécialiste du contrôle thermique. Le stage pourrait débuter en Mars 2027.
Formation visée étudiant(e) en sciences des matériaux : Ecoles d'ingénieur ou Université niveau Master 1 ou 2. *En tant qu'EPIC, le CNES applique un principe de neutralité (notamment politique et religieux) à l'ensemble de ses collaborateurs
