About the job
## Application close date Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.
Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight.
Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists and accomplished experts in Program Planning & Controls (PP&C), you will develop and maintain program plans for various spaceflight systems.
Partnered with Blue’s Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), there are multiple facets to your support of our spaceflight systems. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of Program Schedules with the Integrated Master Schedule. Partnering with technical leadership across Blue, you will support the resource loading of our schedules and analyze resource requirement needed to achieve milestones. This position will also support change management initiatives and incorporate approved baseline changes into the schedule.
As part of our monthly operating system you will lead reviews to gather status updates from varying stakeholders and data sources, maintain schedule health and proactively analyze logic for accuracy and conduct ‘what-if’ scenario planning for schedule optimization opportunities.
You will organize all this data to provide program leadership insight to status, schedule risk, and the associated recommended risk mitigations. You will also partner closely with the Program Cost Analysts to maintain integrated cost and schedule plans that will facilitate program budgeting and cost analysis.
A continuous focus on process improvement will be a requirement as you collaborate with PP&C counterparts across the business units to develop new or improved methods of building, analyzing, and reporting our schedules and schedule performance. Reporting to the PP&C leader of one of our four business units, this role will be integral in leading and supporting the development of robust programs plans.
You will work to increase the speed and efficiency of the programs by supporting the timely delivery, quality and transparency of program performance data and schedules to support the company’s business decisions. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
