Systems Engineer I – Core Systems Engineering - $5,000 Sign On Bonus

</br><b>Job Description </b></br><p paraeid="{cc936493-82fe-483a-a2e2-4d1d2bfffb97}{83}" paraid="1009840907"><strong>Minimum $5,000 Sign On Bonus being offered for external hires.<br> </strong><br>We’re seeking a flexible and action-oriented systems engineer to support efforts across the entire program lifecycle including concept development, design, requirement development, implementation, integration, launch, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

This position is for a junior systems engineer who can support systems engineering project teams with general SE tasking Specific tasking will be dynamic and will focus on managing the technical requirement development and verification for subsystems, payloads, vehicles, and/or ground systems to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions for space missions.<br><br>Additional tasking will include assisting in the management of other Systems Engineering tasks including the development and management of interfaces, environmental considerations, CONOPS, CDRLs, Systems Engineering Reports, change controls, MBSE models, I&T planning and execution, etc. depending on the specific program needs. <br><br>The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions.

Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution. </p><p paraeid="{cc936493-82fe-483a-a2e2-4d1d2bfffb97}{83}" paraid="1009840907"><br><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong><br> </p><ul><li>Provide systems engineering support of technical teams for the development, verification, delivery, and operations of Missions, Segments, Elements, Subsystems and/or Components. </li><li>Support the proper allocation, traceability, and verification of requirements at all levels through the lifecycle of the program. </li><li>Coordinate with multiple subject matter experts to develop the necessary requirements allocation, analysis, and verification artifacts. </li><li>Create and manage technical definition documentation up and down the “V”. </li><li>Execute to the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP). </li><li>Support expectations, preparations, and delivery for major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, PSR). </li><li>Support requirements verification and I&T activities. </li><li>Prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers. </li><li>Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.</li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.

Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.</li><li>Perform other duties as necessary.</li></ul> <p><strong>On-Site Work Environment: </strong>This position requires regular in-person engagement by working <strong>on-site five days</strong> each normally scheduled week in the primary work location.

Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.</p><br><strong>Working Conditions:</strong><br> <ul><li>Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.</li><li>May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.</li><li>May access other facilities in various weather conditions.</li></ul></br></br><b>Required Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><ul><li>BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required.</li><li>Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.

Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. </li><li>A current, active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Polygraph. </li><li>Demonstrated detail-oriented abilities which are necessary to effectively review and verify requirements. </li><li>Experience (either direct or course work) in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, requirement allocation, change management, verification, and validation.

Ability to incorporate guidance and to own these activities. </li><li>Good organizational and presentation skills </li><li>Demonstrated curiosity and the willingness to learn new technical concepts spanning engineering disciplines. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to think ‘bigger picture’ to consider how impacts to components, subsystems, etc. affect the entire system. </li><li>Demonstrated flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, tasking, and deadlines. </li></ul><span style="color:#ffffff;">#LI-MB2</span></br></br><b>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><ul><li>Customer Relationships: basic knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas.

Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community is preferred. </li><li>Experience using requirements database tools (DOORS, Jama, Cameo Requirements Modeler, e.g.) is preferred. </li><li>A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position.

However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. </li></ul><br><br><b>Pay Information</b><br>Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374<br><br>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
