About the job

Job Description As a Senior Applications Developer on the Engineering Tools Development team, you will play a key role in developing our PLM and Digital Engineering applications that support our customers’ mission-critical objectives.

This role combines deep technical expertise and cross-functional leadership. What You’ll Do<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Lead, assist, and collaborate with other application developers, business analysts, system administrators, and others in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications as well as maintaining existing applications.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Collaborate with specialists from a wide variety of expertise including mechanical engineering, material science, optical engineering, and other information technology team members.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Research and document requirements of software users.</li></ul><ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Conduct research on emerging application development best practices, languages, and standards in support of development efforts.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Partner with business representatives to ensure requirements are well understood and documented to achieve successful delivery.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Actively work with the software development manager and architecture managers to align to a consistent technology vision and drive application development standards.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Facilitate peer-programming and design sessions/reviews with team members.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Participate in code reviews.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Foster and be a leader of a collaborative and team-oriented environment.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ensure development quality is being tracked and improved using techniques like automated testing and peer code review.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Take the lead on solving and implementing difficult technology challenges and drive our team to successful delivery.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Consistently write, translate, code, and test software program and applications according to specifications.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.</li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:11px"> This role is hybrid 3 days a week on site</div>Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education, Experience, & Skills<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field and at least 4 or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Three or more years of experience in application development with C# and .Net.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Demonstrated knowledge of Web API REST services, and application integrations.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Experience utilizing Agile/Scrum Methodologies.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size
