HVAC Engineer

The HVAC Engineer supports facility maintenance operations at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center by performing a variety of facilities engineering assignments in planning and research, design, operations and maintenance of HVAC equipment, and detailed facilities documentation support. ## Essential Responsibilities - Perform design, development, or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision. - Coordinate and assist in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. - Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data related to HVAC equipment. - Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence. - Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status. - Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. - Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. - Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. ## Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require travel.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. ## Compensation Details 90,000.00 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
