About the job

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, built to deliver fast, reliable broadband to people and places beyond the reach of existing networks. From families and small businesses to schools, hospitals, and entire communities, we’re working to connect the world in ways that weren’t possible before. We just created a new brand. Now comes the fun part.

We’ve spent years building the technology and creating the Amazon Leo brand from the ground up. Now we’re bringing it to life. And we’ve got some incredible ingredients to work with: rockets launching into space, satellites orbiting hundreds of miles above Earth, innovative technology, and, most importantly, the people and communities whose lives will change when they get connected.

There’s no shortage of great stories to tell. We just need the right people to help us tell them. We’re looking for a Social Video Editor who’s equal parts storyteller, craftsman, and creative problem solver. Someone who can find a great story in hours of raw footage, knows how to make people stop scrolling, and brings their own creative instincts to every project.

This is a dual role, split evenly between creating social-first video content and helping us build the Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems that power our creative team. You’ll work across consumer, business, and government audiences around the world, helping shape how Amazon Leo looks, feels, and tells stories.

If you love great storytelling, obsess over the details, and get excited about building something new, we’d love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities - Create compelling, social-first video content for Amazon Leo, including influencer collaborations, branded content, product storytelling, behind-the-scenes videos, and short-form social campaigns. - Edit and craft engaging stories through pacing, music, sound design, motion graphics, color correction, and creative finishing.

Bring strong editorial instincts and attention to detail to every project. - Bring the Amazon Leo brand to life through creative use of Aurora particles, Krypton Purple, typography, motion, and sound.

Find fresh and unexpected ways to use these elements to tell stories that feel unmistakably Amazon Leo. - Adapt creative content for different social platforms, audiences, and formats, balancing platform trends and best practices with a consistent brand identity. - Collaborate with Creative Directors, Social, Marketing, and production partners to develop and execute engaging video content for consumer, business, and government audiences. - Transform complex technology and technical subjects into accessible, entertaining stories.

Find the human moments that make people care about what we’re building. - Partner with Social and Marketing teams to understand content performance and identify opportunities to improve future creative work. - Help develop, organize, and manage Amazon Leo’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, supporting a growing global library of video, photography, animation, audio, and finished creative assets. - Maintain consistent media management practices, including metadata, tagging, naming conventions, folder structures, version control, and project archiving. - Support efficient workflows for ingesting, organizing, reviewing, approving, distributing, and retrieving creative assets across internal teams and external production partners. - Maintain accurate asset information, including usage rights, permissions, and licensing details, to support secure and appropriate content sharing. - Identify opportunities to improve post-production and asset management workflows, including exploring AI-assisted creative tools, automation, and new technologies. - Manage multiple editing and asset management projects simultaneously, balancing creative quality, organization, and deadlines. - Make outrageously cool content.

A day in the life Your morning starts with a fresh batch of footage from a creator who’s been putting Amazon Leo to the test. You’ve got hours of material, a few great moments, and an opportunity to tell a story that people actually want to watch. You jump into the edit, find the hook, experiment with music and pacing, and start turning raw footage into something worth sharing.

Next, you’re working with our creative and social teams on a new campaign. We’ve built an entirely new visual identity, and now we get to play with it. Aurora particles that bring connectivity to life. Krypton Purple, inspired by the technology powering our satellites. Golden Hour, capturing the warmth of the best moments in our customers’ lives. A distinct motion language, typography, and sonic identity.

These aren’t just brand guidelines. They’re creative tools for finding new ways to tell stories. Maybe you’re using Aurora particles to visualize a connection traveling across the world. Maybe you’re taking footage from a customer documentary and turning it into a compelling 30-second social story.

Or maybe you’re working with an influencer to find a completely unexpected way to show what satellite internet makes possible. The challenge is to make it feel authentic, entertaining, and unmistakably Amazon Leo. After lunch, you switch gears. Our library of footage, photography, animations, and finished content is growing fast.

You’re helping build and manage our Digital Asset Management system, keeping everything organized, searchable, and ready for the next project. Because when you’re creating content around the world, finding the right shot shouldn’t take longer than editing it.

By the afternoon, you’re reviewing cuts with a Creative Director, collaborating with designers on a new animation, or experimenting with a social trend to see how it might work for our brand. We believe in cinematic storytelling, even when the finished video is only 15 seconds long. Sometimes the best story is a rocket launching into space.

Sometimes it’s a quiet moment with someone getting connected for the first time. The trick is knowing which moments matter. We’re building a brand that’s equal parts innovative technology and human connection. We want our work to feel thoughtful, surprising, and occasionally a little weird. We don’t want to make content just to fill a calendar. We want to make things people choose to watch.

And we want you to help us figure out what that looks like next. ## Basic qualifications - Bachelor's degree - 5+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience - Experience developing digital campaigns for O&O channels that have global scale - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines - Knowledge of Adobe Creative software, primarily Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop/Indesign at an advanced level - Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.) - Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process - Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, media libraries, or professional post-production asset management workflows. ## Preferred qualifications - Experience in influencer, affiliate marketing - Experience with asset management, design workflows, or partnering with creative teams - Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences - Experience with online content, multimedia, analytics and impact measurements - Experience building workflow automation and scripting (Python, AppleScript, or similar) to streamline handoffs, eliminate repetitive editorial tasks, and accelerate project turnarounds - Experience building custom shortcuts, macros, NLE extensions, or integration panels that enhance editing capabilities - Experience designing and managing automated ingest, proxy generation, transcoding, a
