Supplier Quality Engineer, Amazon Leo Supplier Quality Assurance

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will execute and promote discipline towards mechanisms for quality assurance and control activities for a large supply chain of electronics, mechanical parts and semiconductors.

Key job responsibilities - Own the quality management system and its mechanisms for Leo's supply chain operations - Govern the supplier quality lifecycle from new product introduction through sustaining - Implement and sustain continuous improvement mechanisms: SPC monitoring, control plan optimization, PFMEA updates, and manufacturing optimization opportunities. - Analyze variation sources, challenge specifications, and define proactive improvement plans grounded in data and physics - Drive defect identification and elimination activities including application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools - Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, supply chain, and manufacturing to optimize Design for Excellence - Move quality checks upstream and eliminate the need to inspect quality into the product by achieving high process capability - Lead process capability analysis (Cpk/Ppk) for critical characteristics and intervene before defects are created - Develop and execute Layered Process Audits at supplier sites - Drive structured RCCA using 8D methodology - Own supplier qualification (PPAP) - Foster a culture of quality, improvement and learning with Leo ## Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life This role is an individual contributor and is the quality mechanisms lead within Leo's supply chain operations. This role must identify and solve problems within a supply chain while coaching teams and developing mechanisms to consistently deliver high-quality products. You will be challenged with solving problems that have never been tackled before at scale.

SLAs management, performance/scorecarding) - Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long-term fixes and avoid repeating issues - 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience ## Preferred qualifications - Experience developing, auditing, and optimizing a quality system in an ISO9000 / AS9100 environment, or similar standard.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
