About the job

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We’re working on the future.

If you are seeking an iterative, fast-paced environment where you can drive innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve real-world challenges, and provide visible benefit to end-users, this is your opportunity. We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who combines superb 3D CAD capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right work done quickly and effectively.

This person must have experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and producing top-notch CAD designs for spacecraft-class hardware. This person must be comfortable working with large databases with complex constraints - managing the full lifecycle of mechanical design data from concept through production release within Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

You will be embedded within a team of engineers driving the mechanical design of satellite systems - translating engineering intent into production-ready CAD models, drawings, and BOMs that flow cleanly through our product lifecycle management infrastructure. Your work directly enables the velocity of satellite development and production.
