In parallel, we are exploring how AI‑based automation can further increase the efficiency and accuracy of our analyses. ## Your benefits - Attractive salary and work-life balance with an 18-hour week (flexitime). - A final thesis is possible after consultation with the department. - Mobile working after agreement with the department. - International environment with the opportunity to network globally. - Work with modern/diversified technologies. - Opportunity to participate in the Generation Airbus Community to expand your own network. ## Your tasks and responsibilities - Python Software Development: Develop, maintain, and improve Python-based applications and reusable software components for managing aircraft mass data. - Database Management: Support the design and implementation of database structures, queries, and data models using relational databases. - Workflow Automation: Identify and automate repetitive engineering workflows and data-processing tasks to increase efficiency. - Data Integration & Processing: Develop tools for importing, validating, transforming, and integrating data from various engineering sources and tools. - AI Research & Prototyping: Investigate and evaluate the application of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) by developing prototypes for engineering workflows. - Software Quality Assurance: Ensure software reliability by developing automated/manual test cases, documenting bugs, and improving code maintainability. ## Desired skills and qualifications - Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Good programming skills in Python and a strong interest in software development. - Basic knowledge or a strong interest in the following areas: SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Software architecture and Object-Oriented Programming, Data processing, automation, and software testing. - Interest in learning and working with technologies such as: PyQt for GUI development, Git for version control, Jira and Confluence for project management, AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). - Ability to translate complex engineering problems into structured software solutions through a self-organized and analytical way of working. - Advanced English; German is a plus.
