  • Participate in technical reviews, maintenance demonstrations, and verification activities to evaluate maintenance feasibility and identify potential issues.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and other technical teams to address maintenance procedures, tooling, support equipment, and system interfaces.
  • Communicate maintenance challenges and recommend practical solutions to engineering and program stakeholders.

Maintenance Readiness & Improvement

  • Evaluate maintenance processes and operational considerations to identify risks, improve maintainability, and support long-term system readiness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting the maintenance, inspection, repair, troubleshooting, or sustainment of military or DoD missile systems or associated missile support equipment.
  • Experience gathering technical information from subject matter experts (SMEs) and translating complex or undocumented maintenance processes into clear, accurate, and repeatable technical procedures, work instructions, or other technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience personally developing, writing, or substantially revising technical maintenance procedures, work instructions, or related technical documentation based on equipment knowledge, maintenance activities, or information obtained from subject matter experts.
  • Experience interpreting and applying technical manuals, engineering drawings, specifications, or military technical orders.
  • Familiarity with military maintenance practices, safety requirements, and configuration-controlled technical documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, logistics, and other technical organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting land-based Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems, including Minuteman III, Sentinel/GBSD, or comparable missile programs.
  • Familiarity with missile launch facilities, silo-based missile systems, or associated ground support equipment.
  • Experience supporting missile maintenance planning, sustainment engineering, technical data analysis, or weapon system lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance technical orders, configuration management, and weapon system modification processes.
