Telespazio, owned by Leonardo and Thales, operates satellites and the ground segment they depend on: the Fucino Space Centre in Abruzzo, home to one of Galileo's two control centres, the Matera satellite laser ranging station and ground stations as far north as Finland. Its German company staffs mission operations at ESA's control centre and EUMETSAT in Darmstadt and at DLR's in Oberpfaffenhofen, Telespazio Brasil runs satellite communications from Rio de Janeiro, and e-GEOS sells COSMO-SkyMed radar imagery and its analysis.
