Project Procurement Manager
About the role
Job description
Team & Reporting Line: Program Management Team | Reports to Lead Project & Procurement Manager
Our Mission
At constellr, we use thermal intelligence from space to understand what is happening on Earth - where, when and at scale. Our satellite constellation delivers high-resolution land surface temperature data, giving governments, defence organisations, commercial operators and global institutions the intelligence they need to monitor change, assess risk and make better-informed decisions.
From national security and critical infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience, constellr turns temperature into actionable intelligence for a changing world.
Your Role
You'll play a key part in keeping constellr's projects moving. You'll source and secure the materials and components each project needs to hit its timelines, working closely with our project and engineering teams and building strong, long-term relationships with our suppliers along the way.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and source the right vendors for project-specific materials and components, and negotiate terms with them
- Take ownership of the full purchase order process for your assigned projects, from start to finish
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, and track their performance over time
- Work closely with our project and engineering teams to coordinate delivery timelines
- Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing costs and consolidating our supplier base
Required
- Experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in a project-based environment
- Experience in the space or aerospace sector
- Strong negotiation skills and a confident approach to managing vendor relationships
- The ability to manage several sourcing projects at once and keep each one moving
- Fluency in both German and English
Nice to Have
- Experience procuring for electronics or precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems
- Experience sourcing internationally or across borders

By leveraging modern, agile New Space methodologies, you will help design, build, and deploy dual-use thermal payloads into operational orbit at a speed and scale that traditional aerospace models simply cannot match.
- Broad Interdisciplinary Exposure: Accelerate your professional growth by collaborating daily with a diverse, international cohort of astrophysicists, software developers, and defence-system engineers.
- Inclusive & Scientific Culture: Join a high-trust team deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence, where academic curiosity is paired with high autonomy and a flat hierarchy.
